Desperately searching for a way to save her daughter, Laura uncovers a horrifying secret but Alex and his family aren’t the only ones with something to hide. Just as Laura has been digging into their past, they’ve been digging into hers and she discovers the terrifying reason they invited her and Tilly in, and why they’ll never let them leave…
REVIEW – First time reading this author and i loved it. A taught and intense psychological thriller which shows sometimes the ‘nice and friendly’ people and the ones to be wary of. The different characters POV’s distracted me slightly but overall this book was well written, tense and made you think about how would cope with what Laura goes through

A dark and gripping debut psychological thriller that won the 2017 Victorian Premier’s Literary Award, previously won by THE DRY and THE ROSIE PROJECT.
A child was stolen twenty years ago
Little Sammy Went vanishes from her home in Manson, Kentucky – an event that devastates her family and tears apart the town’s deeply religious community.

Kim Leamy, an Australian photographer, is approached by a stranger who turns her world upside down – he claims she is the kidnapped Sammy and that everything she knows about herself is based on a lie.
How far will you go to uncover the truth?
In search of answers, Kim returns to the remote town of Sammy’s childhood to face up to the ghosts of her early life. But the deeper she digs into her family background the more secrets she uncovers… And the closer she gets to confronting the trauma of her dark and twisted past.
REVIEW – An interesting idea of a story, but for me i just could not connect with the story as much as i had hoped. That is not to mean others will not enjoy the book, i liked the idea for the story a lot and the psychological thrills where there, i was left wondering what was going to happen next quite a few times. The writing for a debut author was very good, and i hope to see more from this author in the future and see their writing style develop. Worth a read, just not for me and my reading likes this time.

Concrete floor…
Dirty windows…
Impenetrable shadows….
Where am I?
Days bleed into one another and I know I’m trapped. A prisoner.
But why?
I have no answers and no one to give them to me. Only the silence and the dark.
Except for the song.
The words tell a story that I wish I could forget.
About a girl who didn’t run fast enough.
A forgotten girl…
A lost girl…
A girl no one would miss…

Review – Wow this book drops you right into the story and you have so many questions just like Nora. Who can you trust and who can you not? I know i do not for one moment trust her mother or sister both are from the evil spectrum of the human race with how they treat their sister/daughter. But i cannot bring myself to feel anyone else in the story is on Nora’s side and how did she end up in this terrible situation. If you love a psychological thriller you will love this story, but as it is part of a series it does obviously end on a cliffhanger so be warned, though it is pretty obvious due to the volume titles. Also visit the finding Nora website listed just above this review to get deeper into this thrilling story. My heart hurts for Nora and all she has been through and all she may have to go through still to come in these volumes.Great start to this series.

Beauty lies in the truth.
A wife with a thirst for revenge desperately trying to save her marriage while hiding in the shadows of her memories... A woman with questionable intentions, a sketchy past and a taste for unavailable men... A husband in love with his wife, a man mesmerized by his mistress, a willing hostage caught between two obsessive women.
A murderer, a liar and a cheater. You think you know which one is which, but nothing is as it seems. After all, everyone wears a mask. Some are just better at hiding the truth than others.
Lies will be exposed. Truths revealed. Blood shed. All in the name of something far more potent than love and much more toxic.
