Shayla Perkins isn’t the kind of girl who makes the same mistake twice, especially when it comes to Sean “Stitch” Molina. So when he gives her the world’s biggest rejection, that’s it—she’s done. Until the sexy, silent, unavailable Sean makes Shay a very personal offer. Of course, it still doesn’t mean he’s interested in her. Or does it?

Sean has done things in life. Bad things. And he’s paid the price. All he wants now is to make up for his past by doing good in the present. And no one deserves more good than Shay. Beautiful on the inside and out, Shay is the kind of woman who should be cared for and protected—especially from a man like Sean. He’s tried to keep his feelings for her in check, but a single, reckless impulse pulls them closer than ever before.

Soon the two are sharing their biggest dreams and satisfying their deepest desires. But what will happen if the only way to truly give one another want they want most . . . is to let each other go?

REVIEW – If you have read the other books in the series you know some of the details of Shay and Stitch but this time we get them in all their glory. And what a glorious book it is. FYI you do not have to have read the other books in this series to appreciate this story. Stitch and Shay have the most amazing story and it is filled with emotions of all variety, i laughed, got highly emotional and shut the front door i shed a tear for them. And it takes a lot for me to get this emotional over a story peeps. Such a great writing style by J. Daniels has this romance story just flowing off the pages, i must admit i had a lazy day in bed, and my pjs as i could not put the book down when i awoke. Go read this story, and my review has stayed shy of the details to the characters story as i do not want to ruin it for your reading pleasure. 5 shining Shay and Stitch stars. PS Stitch is swoon worthy

Tenleigh Falyn struggles each day to survive in a small, poverty-stricken, coal mining town where she lives with her sister and mentally ill mother. Her dream of winning the college scholarship given to one student by the local coal company and escaping the harshness of her life, keeps her going.

Kyland Barrett lives in the hills, too, and has worked tirelessly—through near starvation, through deep loneliness, against all odds—to win the Tyton Coal Scholarship and leave the town that is full of so much pain.

They're both determined not to form any attachments, but one moment changes everything. What happens when only one person gets to win? When only one person gets to leave? And what happens to the one left behind?

Kyland is a story of desperation and hope, loss and sacrifice, pain and forgiveness, but ultimately, a story of deep and unending love.

THIS IS A STAND-ALONE SIGN OF LOVE NOVEL, INSPIRED BY TAURUS. New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

I am broken and a mess after reading this book. It is so fantastic, i have read Mia Sheridan and her work before but this one just hit on every emotion going under the sun. Tenleigh is a wonderful character full of love and sacrifice but with dreams too despite the hardships of her life and they are hard infact they are almost brutal. Maybe not as brutal as Kyland the solitary boy on the mountain who keeps to himself unless with female company. Kylands life is brutal but he is proud like Tenleigh but their pride manifests slightly differently from each other. When Kyland and Tenleigh meet it starts something off that has no hope of stopping like a snowball rolling down a hill. The pair of them together are strong, they are strong individually but they lean on each other when together, they are funny as well their life may be hard but they laugh and enjoy the small things in life. Things which many of us would take for granted for Kyland and Tenleigh they are a luxury and one to be treasured together. The sparks that begin that turn into a roaring fire between them are ones that will melt even the coldest heart.

While reading this book, which took me a few days as life kinda got in the way of this fabulous story i realised how much the small things can matter more than the big sharing a moment together no matter where and with what can mean more than grand gestures filled with gifts. This next sentence will sound strange but i am not a fan of lavender, however i will not be able to smell it or see it without thinking of Kyland and Tenleigh together and their story. Also who does not love a man who will read books and discuss them with you, now that would win me over straight away lol i do not know about you? I must say i messaged Mia Sheridan about my nerves about getting to the end of this book, my heart was in my mouth i was so on the edge, but i am so glad with the way it ended. I cannot tell you any more it will spoil it and i never want to do that for the readers of my reviews. Just read this book and realise how sometimes life though hard at times can bring you right to the place you are meant to be, and how fleeting moments together can mean more than grand gestures.

Aimee’s wedding is supposed to turn out perfect. Her dress, her fiancé and the location—the idyllic holiday ranch in Brazil—are perfect.

But all Aimee’s plans come crashing down when the private jet that’s taking her from the U.S. to the ranch—where her fiancé awaits her—defects mid-flight and the pilot is forced to perform an emergency landing in the heart of the Amazon rainforest.

With no way to reach civilisation, being rescued is Aimee and Tristan’s—the pilot—only hope. A slim one that slowly withers away, desperation taking its place. Because death wanders in the jungle under many forms: starvation, diseases. Beasts.
As Aimee and Tristan fight to find ways to survive, they grow closer. Together they discover that facing old, inner agonies carved by painful pasts takes just as much courage, if not even more, than facing the rainforest.

Despite her devotion to her fiancé, Aimee can’t hide her feelings for Tristan—the man for whom she’s slowly becoming everything. You can hide many things in the rainforest. But not lies. Or love.

Withering Hope is the story of a man who desperately needs forgiveness and the woman who brings him hope. It is a story in which hope births wings and blooms into a love that is as beautiful and intense as it is forbidden.

I am beside myself. Yes i did well up at this book and i do not do that often let me tell you. This book was not what i expected at all i thought it would be part Indiana Jones action in the rainforest with bickering characters, but it is so much more. It starts off so ordinary but then when they crash land in the rainforest it truly does become a battle of survival mentally and physically for Aimee and Tristan. Layla describes the rainforest so well and what sounds so accurate you can almost feel the heat on you suffocating your breathes like it does our central characters. I think she did some serious research into creatures and sounds and plants and it shows. Tristan and Aimee both have secrets and have to work together and against themselves to survive. I will not tell you if they do survive or not, but when i put this book down at nights i could not help but wonder would i survive both mentally or physically in this situation. I would like to think i could but when you think about getting food and water and look at how Tristan and Aimee found it then you begin to wonder. This is a story with really only two characters and three very very remote secondary characters, which is what makes it so beautiful and intense with also a few funny moments in there as well. All i can say is the ending will get you how you least expect it.

Now do not read on as i will discuss things in the book that i thought about but some people will consider spoilers – but i have to put them down in case you thought the same things as me and want to discuss them also

Is Your

OK, So those of you still reading this want to so let me begin. When you felt the sexual tension building between Tristan and Aimee i kept thinking they cant have sex what if she gets pregnant and has to be pregnant in the jungle how will she survive?! But I am glad to say Layla Hagen dealt with it very well by letting Tristan taking matters sensibly into his own hands.

I loved how Tristan and Aimee really grew to love each other, and how they each had serious strengths – Tristan and his survival instincts and Aimee in her way to build baskets and step up when needed. Aimee was so strong when Tristan was ill and then when Aimee was at deaths door he helped make her as comfortable as much as possible even though it destroyed him inside.

I admire that Layla Hagan addressed the fact that Aimee had her period and how she had to deal with it, i know it was only touched on very briefly but i suspect many authors would have glazed over that very basic female situation which occurs.

Finally the ending or shall i say endings as just when i pulled myself together another heart wrenching moment happened. The thread rings and tottoos, omg beautiful. Then describing her slow descent into death it felt so real and i could imagine how it could potentially be like that for some people. Then the description of their life life years later, but then with the epilogue and how elderly Tristan and Aimee said their goodbyes to the world, god i was bawling my eyes out. That my friend is true love right there

Finding Eden – Mia Sheridan

Finding Eden
Mia Sheridan

Finding Eden is the continuation, and conclusion, to Becoming Calder.

When the world as you know it has ended, when all that you love has been washed away, where do you find strength?

When the new world you've stepped into is as isolating as the last, when your heart is broken, and your future is unclear, where do you find hope?

Finding Eden is a story of strength, discovery, forgiveness, and undying love. It is about believing in your destiny and following the path that leads to peace.

THIS IS THE SECOND PART, AND CONCLUSION, IN A TWO-PARTSIGN OF LOVE SERIES INSPIRED BY AQUARIUS (BECOMING CALDER SHOULD BE READ FIRST). New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language and graphic sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18

As this is the continuation of the story started in Becoming Calder here is the link for that review

Well what can i say about this second part to the story. It is just as good as the first instalment for sure. You are on an emotional roller coaster with this story and with the way book one ended that was in no doubt. Calder is up their with my other book boyfriends he is majestic in his love for Eden. Eden has lost but she is not lost she just needs to regroup and find people she can now trust. Arcadia was not full of people she could trust that is for sure. This book took my heart and head on an emotional journey, this is not a story for those wanting a run of the mill romance story. This is an epic love story filled with danger and despair and joy. You will be left with a serious book hangover and may need to sit down by yourself to process what happened to these characters and their stories together and individually over the two books

Becoming Calder – Mia Sheridan

Becoming Calder
Mia Sheridan
5th October 2014

There is a place in modern day America with no electricity, no plumbing, and no modern conveniences. In this place, there is no room for dreams, no space for self-expression, and no tolerance for ambition.

In this place, there is a boy with the body of a God and the heart of a warrior. He is strong and faithful and serves his family honorably. But he dares to dream of more.

In this place, there is a girl with the face of an angel and a heart full of courage. To her family, she is the vision of obedient perfection. But she dares to want that which she has been told can never be hers.

Becoming Calder is the story of good versus evil, fear versus bravery, and the truth that the light of love has always found its way into even the darkest of places... From the beginning of time, to the end of the world.

THIS IS THE FIRST PART IN A TWO-PART SIGN OF LOVE SERIES INSPIRED BY AQUARIUS. THE SECOND PART, FINDING EDEN, WILL RELEASE SIMULTANEOUSLY. New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

Holy wow!!!
This book is so beyond what i expected. It was all by chance i got to review this book, i was in the right place at the right time when the chance to review was announced by Mia Sheridan. The blurb below sums up the story of the book but the beginning just catapults you into a deluge of emotions and this just never lets up from the start to the end of this first book, yep thats right you read correctly Becoming Calder is the beginning part of the story while Finding Eden is the second part and i will review this book on here in a couple of weeks so you have time to read Becoming Calder. And to make your day even better both parts of the book are releasing simultaneously.

At times when reading this book i felt transported to a far off place, almost mythical as it was unlike any place i have ever been and felt so distant to what i know. While at other parts through the story i knew the grit and darkness of their locations as i have read about them or seen them elsewhere. The story had a transcendent feel to it as the change in location and time blended seamlessly and felt gigantic in proportion.

I cannot stress how much i love Calder he is so sweet and caring and pure the perfect equal to Eden who i adored and i will never look or taste butterscotch without thinking about this book and the innocence of a time and love before life can shape it into something different. I am not trying to be vague here in my review, i just do not want to ruin the experience for you when you read this book. As a new adult book this is so fresh and exciting as it does not follow the usual pattern i found it so original for the new adult genre.Congratulations Mia Sheridan for a new piece of work that was an absolute joy to read and experience.
