It started out like any normal day.

Then the fender bender happened.

The guy I collided with drove an expensive car and was drop-dead gorgeous. Too bad he was also a total jerk. We argued over whose fault it was and any other thing that came out of his condescending mouth.

Eventually, the police came and we went our separate ways. The insurance companies would have to figure things out. I had a job interview to get to anyway—one I was excited about.

Though that excitement changed to disappointment the moment the person interviewing me walked in. The guy from the accident.

Yeah, so I didn’t get the position.

The problem was, I really wanted it. No, I needed it. Anything to get me out of my current career and back into working with kids.

So, even though Hollis LaCroix was as intimidating as he was devastatingly handsome, I went back to see him and begged for a chance.

To my surprise, he gave me a shot taking care of his troubled niece.

At least my attraction to him wouldn’t be able to go anywhere. I wasn’t about to jeopardize my job or the strong bond Hailey and I formed.

But resisting the magnetic pull between us wasn’t that simple. (Then there was our little underwear game—don’t ask.)

We continued to flirt without crossing the line—until it finally happened.

This is the part of the story where we fall in love and live happily ever after, right?

Well, life has a way of throwing some major curveballs.

Ours was one I didn’t see coming.

REVIEW – I cannot express how brilliant this book is. I has certainly gone to the top of my fave book of 2019 list right now. It is filled with the laughs and sexual chemistry we now these authors can produce. But it is also filled with emotions and issues that have you clutching your kindle and then your tissues. I laughed, i got very emotional over these characters and i loved it so much. Another seamless and perfect book by these authors, i loved the cover and also the young character of who helps bring these two together even more. Go get it now and thank me later when you have finished this book and don’t know what to read next because you loved it as much as i did.

REVIEW – Oh my gosh, Penelope Ward has wrote an epic romance story spanning years. A romance that never dies but lingers in the background over the years but never stops burning. There is so much romance and angst that comes from this book and it was absolute perfection. This is why i will always pick up a Penelope Ward book. She cocoons you in the story and you do not want to resume daily life, this story and these characters will stay with you a long time after you finish the book. Romantic, sexy and full of longing – perfect summer romance read

Until December – Aurora Rose Reynolds

Until December

Until Her #5

Aurora Rose Reynolds

30th July 2019

Gareth Black is drawn to December Mayson the moment he spots her across
the room at her cousin’s wedding. When he approaches the beautiful woman, she
captivates him with her shyness and wit, making him crave her.
With a pull so strong it’s impossible to ignore, December knows there’s
something between her and Gareth. She just hopes they’re capable of jumping the
hurdles ahead of them.
Two boys, an ex, a surprise that will change everything, and a
disgruntled co-worker, guarantee these two will have their work cut out for
them if they are going to find their happily ever after.
REVIEW – I have been waiting for this book for what seems like forever, but oh my it was worth the wait. Aurora knows how to write sexy romances with some angst thrown in and some alpha males to get you swooning hard Now don’t get me wrong sometimes alpha males can be so annoying, but with this book it is just the perfect blend of alpha and emotions. These books feature characters who we have seen before and some new ones, but it can be read as a standalone. For me i just flew through this book as it was exactly what i needed to read and it flowed really well. Great writing and great series

My Only Reason – Rachel Brookes

My Only Reason Book Cover

My Only Reason

Men of Monroe #2

Rachel Brookes

24th June 2019

Fall in love with my teenage crush – tick
Propose to him on a leap year – tick
Receive a sad look and a whispered ‘we can’t’ – tick, tick, tick.

Austin Hart was my first everything–crush, love, and heartbreak.

Seven years ago, he broke me to pieces and when my world imploded two years later, I stupidly fell back into his bed, seeking comfort only he could give. Accepting that we would never be together, I left Monroe and let him become a distant memory.

Five years later an opportunity I can’t refuse forces me to make the long trip back to Monroe.
And Monroe means seeing Austin again.

I’d be lying if I said the years haven’t been good to him. He’s undeniably sexy, smoldering, and he still makes my heart flutter regardless of how much I want to dislike him. My body may still react, but my mind will never forget.

Though I promised myself I’d never fall under his spell again, he has other plans— and the universe has even bigger ones.

REVIEW – This book was great, i had been waiting for Austin’s book patiently for a while – who am i kidding i was not that patient!! But the wait was worth it, this book has heartbreak, second chances, giggles and swooning romance. I love second chance romance stories and this one is filled with that because the heartbreak was so hard to get over the chance of a second chance gets you right on the edge. I will say this book is one of the best of Rachel’s i have read, and though i am a huge fan this book hits it out of the park and it is great to read some new work from her. Not going to tell you too much more and ruin the story for you 🙂 The world of Monroe men is one you will dive into and not want to leave – but Austin is mine peeps x

Trailer Park Heart – Rachel Higginson

Trailer Park Heart Book Cover

Trailer Park Heart

Rachel Higginson

23rd October 2018

Trailer park born and raised. It’s my legacy. That’s how my mama lived. And that’s how her mama lived. It’s the life I was born into and it’s the life I swore I would leave the second I was old enough to make it out.

Only legacies have a funny way of sneaking up on you. An innocent decision the night of high school graduation led to a series of complications in my plans to escape.

Seven years later, I’ve resigned myself to this small town and the roots I’m tied to. Nothing could make me leave. And nothing could make me spill the secrets that keep me here.

Until he walks back into town with a chip on his shoulder and a stupid hunch nobody else in town has been smart enough to follow.

Levi Cole is my opposite. Born on the right side of the tracks with family money to spare, he’s the kind of black sheep that can afford to be rebellious—because his family will always pay for his mistakes. He’s also the only living heir to Cole Family Farms, after his brother Logan was killed in duty seven years ago.

He sees something in my life that he thinks he has a right to. But he’s wrong. And obnoxious. And he needs to take his stubborn good looks and that intense way he looks at me and go back to wherever it was he came from.

I know better than to trust men like him. I was born and raised in a trailer park, I know nothing good happens to girls like me—girls with trailer park lives and trailer park hearts. Especially from gorgeous, kind, pigheaded men like him.

REVIEW – I want to say this is a second chance romance story, but did Ruby and Levi ever really get a first chance? A story of romance over time, with barriers that are great and could shatter either characters existence. Ruby is a strong and fierce character who survives very well, Levi is an engima to some degree, i was never sure which way he would go at the start of their story but i loved the way he developed. A romance story that is powerful and heartfelt but also about perseverance in life, and also i like this touch – that sometimes people do not grow out of their high school clique and persona but some do 🙂 Had such a blast reading this book

Rolling my eyes, I waved him off. Honestly that was a tamer word than usual. And Max was unfortunately used to grownups saying words he wasn’t supposed to hear by now. “I’ll tell you later, okay? Why don’t you go find a great big stick and let Mommy talk to the scary man.”

Max tilted his head at Levi. “I don’t think he’s scary.”
”Ha! Looks can be deceiving,” I mumbled to no one in particular. “Go on, babe. Find a stick.” He looked up at me like I’d grown a second head. “Then what?”
”Then… then whack that cornstalk with it.”
”Because it needs to be whacked.”
Levi walked closer. “Just pretend it’s Darth Vader and you’re on a mission to save the

Max’s attention swung back to Levi. “Who’s Dark Faber?”

“Who’s Darth Vader?” Levi repeated, stunned. “What do you mean, who’s Darth Vader?” To me he said. “What kind of parent are you? He doesn’t know who Darth Vader is?”

“He’s six,” I reminded him patiently.

“Exactly the right age to know about the glory that is Star Wars. You’re depriving him of a fantastic childhood.”

“Are you seriously giving me parenting advice right now?”
He leaned forward. “Are you seriously considering passing it up? It’s good advice.”
A frustrated growl rumbled in the back of my throat. Max, getting bored with our back and

forth, wandered off to whack the cornstalk. Levi and I watched him in silence for a minute. Eventually, curiosity got the better of me. “What are you doing here, Levi? Why are you in

my neck of the woods?”
He shrugged, and that damnable smile was back. “I feel bad about the other day… about the

gas station.”
I couldn’t let him get away with his behavior then nor now. Or the questions he was hell bent

on asking. Or the sheepish, repentant smile he was wielding like a weapon. “You have no right to stick your nose in my business, Cole.”

He shrugged. “I’m trying to say I’m sorry.”

It wasn’t exactly a promise to leave me alone, but Levi didn’t usually give me what I wanted. This was probably the best I could ask for, and yet, I couldn’t let him get away that easily. I lifted a hand, half hidden in the sleeve of my shirt, and pointed a finger at him. “You can mess with me, Levi, but you better not hurt my son. Got it?”

He took a step forward, closing some of the space between us. “Just to be clear though, you’re saying I can mess with you, right?”
