I got this book to review and it was not what i usually read, but i was very surprised. The story is full of so much emotion and tragedy that all the characters have to overcome to be with the ones they love. The story is set over a long time period, but this does not make it hard to understand what is happening, in fact i feel it adds to the depth of the story and increases the tragedy involved. The love felt between

Avery Hale

Phin has had her heart broken by her boyfriend, she believed she was in love with him and his betrayal despite what he says has hurt her deeply. Dez her best friend takes her on holiday to Costa Rica where Dez wants to take Phin's mind of off her ex.
Things take a turn for the steamy when they run into Byron who is always where Phin is and manages to infiltrate his way onto her thoughts. Add in a few hot local Costa Rican men and Phin is having a very interesting holiday

I was lucky enough to receive an arc of this book and i was not disappointed, Phin is heartbroken because her boyfriends betrayal despite his talk of it being a mistake. Dez her best friend is absolutely hilarious and her words of wisdom are amazing as is the name she gives her boobs- I won’t spoil the surprise for you
Byron is all kinds of hot he keeps popping up when Phin doesn’t need him- hello massage time, you will know what I mean when you read the book.
Avery’s description of Costa Rica makes me want to visit the country so much it sounds beautiful just like Byron. I absolutely loved chapter 5 the emotions involved from Phin by herself and then with Byron by her side wow!! It took you on an emotional roller coaster that chapter. I cannot say how much I lived this book and I don’t want to give away any of the surprises in there but you should read this book. I look forward to reading more from Avery and I thoroughly enjoyed the book.

Hourglass Book Cover Hourglass

Brooke & Savannah are best friends and both ladies work at Hourglass a top fashion magazine in Denver. They both begin dating the hot guys Luke & Lucas little realizing that it is the same guy. What follows is a story that shows how men should never get in the way of friendships, and how women scorned are truly a force to be reckoned with.

I was very lucky to receive an arc of this book prior to release. What a fantastic read this was, and such a refreshing change to other romance books I have read. Yes the guys are hot and so are the best friends Brooke and Savannah, but what I loved most was the way the story kept you guessing on what was coming next. It was so funny and in places my nerves where all over the place for the best friends and what was happening to them and what they where doing to each other. This story shows how women are not to be messed with but how easily the charm of a man can affect a woman. I devoured this book over the weekend and I cannot wait for any future releases from these lovely authors. By the way I now want to visit Denver it sounds gorgeous the right mix of city and countryside, oh and a sampling of cute men 🙂

Seriously good tv

So I have been kinda busy recently reading a few arcs that have been very good and watching some seriously good TV when I can. I am loving penny dreadful on sky its dark, gothic and combines all those characters from the classic gothic horror books and adds in new characters also. I fully encourage you all to watch it. Also if you can catch the Mindy project on e4, that is a woman after my own heart with what she goes through in the most comedic way possible at times. 💕

Shattered Veil by Tracy E Banghart

It is the not too distant future, women are needed o populate the planet so their roles are not ones that push their limits. But for one young girl in love she is willing ot take the risk to change that and have her happy ever after.

I received this book to review for a friends site, and i must say i was presently surprised. Futuristic stories are not something i have experienced before, but i enjoyed this. The story had strong female leads which i enjoyed seeing they took no messing from the men in the story and this is what teenagers need to read occasionally. Not always angst ridden stories but ones where the characters fight for what they want and need in life. I feel the book ended with the possibility of a second book being available as the story has the possibility to go forward with a new story line.
