An inevitable encounter, an undeniable attraction, and an unexpected chance at love—will it be enough?

** This is a New Adult romance novel recommended for ages 18+ due to sexual content and mature subject matter.**

Loved, loved, loved this book. It was a new adult read with a difference, the beginning had me feeling so emotional, oh my it was so sad. Not ugly cry sad but close to tears falling from the eyes but not quite, i held it together but only just. Alex is a character who you feel dearly for she has been through so much and then once she hopes to be over the emotional ringer of what she leaves behind at home, she is put through it again by Elijah. You have to admire Elijah he is described as walking sin and he acts like it as well. Yet even though he can be an arse to Alex there was a moment where he relived his past and i must say i found that bit more emotional than the beginning of the book. Lexi is a great supporting character and she stands with Alex and i loved her spunkiness. This is my first M. Shiver novel and i will be reading more from her for sure, this book just flew by when reading it but in the good way where you could not put the book down.

She has gone and done it again that M.N. Forgy, she hooked me in right from the start. The action just does not let up, i say this about a lot of books at times but it is so true here. We go right from the end of book one, and are then thrown straight back into the action in book 2. Literally Dani goes from one literal and proverbial hell to another, the poor girl does not get a break. But she is also dark, she has devils dust running through her and this fuels her darker tendencies. Shadow though we know he lives in dark places, we actually see some light come from within him. It is only glimmers but it is light. Bobby, hat can i say about Bobby, except i love that guy, he is funny, strong and loyal everything a best friend should be and my heart was in my mouth concerning a part of his storyline. I cannot tell you anything as it will most certainly ruin the story. Also i cannot wait to hopefully read more about the other Devils Dust prospects and club members, as i see this series can go far with the other members of the Devils Dust MC. There are moments of hotness, sadness, action and emotion and this book will certainly keep you entertained, but please read book if you have not to get the full benefit of the series and characters involved as you will enjoy it so much more.

About the Author

M.N. Forgy was raised in Missouri where she still lives with her family. She’s a soccer mom by day and a saucy writer by night. M.N. Forgy started writing at a young age but never took it seriously until years later, as a stay-at-home mom, she opened her laptop and started writing again. As a role model for her children, she felt she couldn’t live with the “what if” anymore and finally took a chance on her character’s story. So, with her glass of wine in hand and a stray Barbie sharing her seat, she continues to create and please her fans.

Emma Harris is learning that life is just a series of lessons.

Lesson #1: Nothing goes the way you plan.
Lesson #2: You can’t trust men. Especially not the pretty ones.
Lesson #3: Turns out, appearances are almost always deceiving.

Emma thinks she has life all figured out, and what she knows isn’t good. For years, she’s put her big sister, who was born with Down syndrome, first. Now Emma’s ready to start her own life, but fate has other plans. To do the right thing for the sister she loves, Emma’s dreams will just have to wait.

She doesn’t plan on meeting Landon — a rich, flirtatious jock, who never has to wait for anything. Not for attention, not for money, and certainly not for girls. Meeting Emma marks the first time in his life that he’s had to fight for something. And Landon doesn't know how to lose.

Emma has no interest in wasting her summer with a superficial guy like Landon. But very soon she realizes she is wrong about him. The question is, can she trust him? Or will he let her down like every other guy in her life? But most importantly, can Emma trust herself enough to live the life she's always dreamed of?

Life has a way of sneaking in the most important lessons when you aren't looking. And once the heart gets involved, that's when the real learning begins.

*** This book is intended for mature audiences. 18 and over!

Loved this story. Romance at its best. Two people leading very separate lives cross paths and have a connection that cannot be denied. But life does not always work out to our characters favour. There are twists and turns through this story but it does not diminish the journey the characters take. It is about how time and place can sometimes work in your favour or against it. Appearances can be deceptive when looking upon peoples lives is also a theme that runs through the story. I cannot express how much i loved this book, it was oh so romantic and heartfelt. I got so invested i really did not notice time flashing by, and next thing you know it is late into the night, i adore books like that which suck you in and make time fly by.  This book reminds you how it feels to fall in love and how it can happen despite the differences between two characters, almost like another well known romance of misconceptions – Romeo and Juliet.
